Work Experience

Dr. Amal Hassan currently serves as Consultant and Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Thumbay University Hospital, Ajman. In this role, she leads departmental operations, clinical governance, and quality improvement initiatives, while ensuring compliance with JCI accreditation standards. She is actively involved in protocol development, audits, staff supervision, and academic teaching of medical students.

Prior to her tenure at Thumbay University Hospital, Dr. Amal held senior clinical roles in leading hospitals across the UK, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. Her experience includes working as a Specialist Registrar within the NHS and as a consultant in major tertiary care centers, managing complex obstetric cases, gynecological surgeries, and multidisciplinary patient care across diverse healthcare systems.
