An engaging GME Educational Session on Burnout, Depression, and Substance Use was conducted on Friday, 24th October 2025, at Thumbay University Hospital, Ajman.
The session was organized as part of the Graduate Medical Education (GME) program’s ongoing commitment to promoting trainee wellbeing and mental health awareness. The session was facilitated by Dr. Soma Ibrahim from the GMU Wellbeing Center, who led an interactive discussion highlighting the early recognition, prevention, and management of burnout and mental health challenges among healthcare professionals.
GME trainees actively participated in the session, sharing experiences and learning practical strategies to enhance resilience and maintain emotional wellness in their professional journey.
This initiative reflects GME’s continued efforts to foster a supportive and healthy learning environment for all trainees at Thumbay University Hospital Complex.
