Dr. Abdulsalam is a dedicated consultant general surgeon. He is passionate about high quality patient care with very strong communication manners with patients and their families. He has more than 20 years of experience as a skilled, scientific and ethical surgeon who prioritizes patients’ care and management outcome according to the most up-to-date medical knowledge. He came to UAE in 2006 and worked in both government and private sectors which makes him experienced in the medical practice in the Gulf region with its unique multicultural community.
Doctor Abdulsalam studied medicine and specialized in surgery in Iraq. He then pursued a path in which he sharpened his knowledge and skills with Western education. He has the following qualification certificates: MB ChB, Arab and Iraqi Board (CABS and FICMS) in general surgery, Fellowship of Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS, Glasgow) and Diploma in Laparoscopic Surgery (Strasbourg).
Dr. Abdulsalam has special interest and extensive experience in neck and thyroid surgery, abdominal hernias, colonic operations, anal problems (piles, fissure, abscess and fistula), biliary system (gallbladder and bile duct), obesity (sleeve gastrectomy), and skin operations. He also has wide experience in tummy tuck operation.
